The Mayor, who serves as the city’s chief executive and represents East Point in regional and civic matters.
At-large City Council members, who are elected by all East Point residents—not just a specific ward—and are responsible for addressing citywide issues and shaping broad policy decisions.
The City of East Point, Georgia, is divided into four wards: A, B, C, and D. Each ward is represented by two council members. One member is elected by the residents of their respective ward.
At-large council persons, on the other hand, are elected by the entire city rather than a specific ward. Their role is to represent the interests of the city as a whole, focusing on broader issues that affect all residents. This structure ensures a balance between localized and citywide perspectives in governance.

Important note: regardless of your ward, you will be voting for all ward candidates since this is an election year for the at-large posts.

My promise to each candidate: to give every candidate a space to speak directly to voters, and to have their platform, vision, and ideas clearly and fairly represented.
My promise to you, the voter: to provide a centralized, accessible platform for your education and our community's engagement.
I want to emphasize that I’m not affiliated with any political group, candidate, or organization, and I do not endorse any platform.
Hi! My name is Seth Rikard. I have been a resident of East Point since 2017, but I have long been familiar with our wonderful city. My grandparents called East Point home, and I spent many Saturday nights playing Bingo at the old VFW hall (windowless brick building behind Tri-Cities High and the Dairy Queen).
I am a member of East Point Church off Sylvan Road and live in Ward B with my lovely wife, two little boys, and a mutt named Max.
